Credit Limits

Reseller accounts work on a Credit Limit model where each account is set up with a pre-defined credit limit, and the reseller is allowed to only make purchases until the limit is exhausted post which they are supposed to make the payment and replenish the limit.

In case an account is set up with the payment method as:

1. Credit Card

  • The user will only be allowed to place orders once a card has been registered in their account.

  • Charging of a Credit card:

    • If the order amount exceeds the available credit but is within the total credit limit, the platform will charge the credit card for the outstanding amount, reinstate the credit limit, and then process the order.

    • If the order amount exceeds both the available credit and the total credit limit, the platform will charge the credit card for the full order amount and the amount as shown under “Amount Payable” in your account. It will then reinstate your full credit limit and add a prepaid balance specifically for processing the order. Once the order is processed, your entire credit limit will be available for future use.

2. Bank Transfer

  • This payment method is available only to select customers based on prior agreements for handling high-value transactions.

  • How does ordering work in this payment model?

    • Users are allowed to place orders only up to the credit limit assigned to their account. Once the limit is reached, they will not be able to place additional orders until the outstanding amount is paid and the credit limit is reinstated.

  • Users are also not allowed to place an order for a product if its value exceeds their available credit or total credit limit, like the credit card payment method.
